This picture is taken in Chrsitiania about the turn of the century. Christiania is the old name of Oslo, Norway's capitol. The street we see is Karl Johans gate. This leads up to the Royal castle which we can see partly hidden behind some threes. Just below the castle to the right of the threes we see the old university. To the left; the park that surrounds the National Theatre
